ST. PAUL, Minn. – The number of deadly motorcycle crashes is down slightly in Minnesota and state officials want that trend to continue.
Office of Traffic Safety Director Mike Hanson said there have been 55 fatalities compared to 69 at this time last year.
“We still have two months left of our riding season and we [have to] be aware,” Hanson said. “Those motorcycles are out there. We need to pay attention.”
The 82 motorcycle riders killed on Minnesota roads in 2022 was the highest number since 1985.
