FARGO (KNOX/KFGO) – A federal grand jury in Fargo has indicted 23-year-old Jordain Smith of Warwick, N.D. on five counts alleging that he sexually abused two minor females and possessed materials involving the sexual exploitation of one of the minors.
The alleged sexual abuse occurred within the boundaries of the Spirit Lake Reservation.
Smith has entered not guilty pleas to charges of Aggravated Sexual Abuse by Force, Sexual Abuse of an Incapacitated Victim, Possession of Materials Involving the Sexual Exploitation of Minors, and Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
The two most serious charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.
An initial trial date is scheduled for October 3rd.
