BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – Bismarck Police have identified the girl who was shot and killed late Sunday night as 16-year-old Taryn Hohbein of Bismarck.
Police say she was acquainted with 19-year-old Corbin Lampert, who is in custody on suspicion of her murder.
The shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. at an apartment in north Bismarck. Police say they received numerous calls for shots fired. Responding officers found Hohbein and she was taken to a hospital where she died.
After an initial investigation, Lampert, of Bismarck, was located and arrested Monday shortly after 9:00 a.m. He is being held on murder charges at the Burleigh Morton Detention Center.
Investigators are continuing to follow-up on leads, and interview possible witnesses.
