DENVER (KFGO) – The governor of Colorado has taken a position on the next president of the University of Colorado system. Governor Jared Polis said in a Twitter post that it’s very important that the regents of the University of Colorado system, find a candidate that “unites the board.”
University of North Dakota President Mark Kennedy is the only finalist for the Colorado job.
Students, faculty and some alumni have asked the regents to reconsider their choice. They’ve taken issue with Kennedy’s conservative voting record when he was a Minnesota congressman.
