FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo City Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session to discuss the threat of a lawsuit from a group representing a Fargo car repair shop owner.
The closed-door meeting is set for Tuesday afternoon.
The notice from the city says the meeting surrounds a letter from the Institute of Justice sent on behalf of John Bultman, owner of John’s Repair near the NDSU campus.
Bultman, who’s run the shop in a residential neighborhood for more than 40 years, has been ordered to close the shop by the end of March. The city cites the sale of his home and garage saying the sale negates a decades-old agreement he had with the city that he could remain at that location until he retires.
Bultman would like to stay at least until August.
