FARGO (KFGO) – Police arrested a man wanted for a robbery on New Year’s Eve in south Fargo.
The victim was arrested at gunpoint by two men. Through investigation, officers identified one of the suspects as Tremane Rainey, a 22-year-old with no permanent address. He was wanted by the Street Crimes Unit and U.S. Marshals Service’s High Plains Fugitive Task Force, for an outstanding warrant for aggravated reckless endangerment, and two probation violation warrants for fleeing in a motor vehicle.
The following day, while on patrol, an officer located a vehicle at an apartment believed to have been used in the robbery the night before.
Police surrounded the apartment and ordered Rainey to come out. He surrendered a short time later and with a search warrant, items believed to be connected to the robbery, including a stolen firearm, were found inside the apartment.
Rainey was arrested on 21 separate charges, including robbery, aggravated reckless endangerment, having a firearm possessed by a felon, and probation violation.
Two others who were also in the apartment, Sierra Higdem, 24, and Mackenzie Higdem, 20, both of Fargo, were both arrested on charges of hindering a law enforcement proceeding.
