MINNEAPOLIS – Firefighters in Minneapolis extinguished a fire at a homeless encampment near I-35W and the parking lot of a Home Depot store.
Investigators are looking into whether Monday night’s fire was caused by an exploding propane tank at the encampment. Firefighters found an uncontrolled blaze that was consuming several wooden pallets and had spread to nearby trees, brush, and tarp tents.
No one was injured.
