Since it’s Easter, I thought I would share my mother’s beautiful Ukrainian egg collection with you.

All of these, with the exception of a few marble ones you might see, were hand-made by my Ukrainian mother. Every year, a few weeks before Easter my mom takes out the precious, fragile eggs that she carefully wraps and stores each year and puts them on display. These eggs are 30, 40, 50 and 60 years old. This is the first year in more than 50 years I won’t get to see them because mom and dad will be spending Easter alone. My dad turns 91 next month and my mom is 86 and none of us wants to risk getting them sick. So this year, I will enjoy mom’s beautiful eggs thanks to my phone gallery.
