BUFFALO, N.D. (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the assault of a woman at a residence in the Buffalo area over the weekend.
The 44-year old victim reported the assault Sunday. It had occurred sometime earlier.
Capt. Mitch Burris said the woman had cuts, bruises, scratches and a swollen eye but did not seek medical treatment.
The woman said she didn’t know the suspect “very well” but was with him Friday night through Saturday.
The man gave her a ride back to a Fargo hotel following the assault. Investigators have identified the suspect but have not yet been able to locate him for questioning.
