MINNEAPOLIS – Less than a week before a strike was scheduled to start, a deal on a contract for 4,000 Allina Health workers has been reached.
A vote by the full membership ratifying the contract is the next step. Union negotiators say those workers will receive a 5% pay hike over the next three years to go with workplace safety improvements. The strike had been scheduled to begin next Monday.
Allina Health calls the new contract fair and one that recognizes the priorities of both sides.
