FARGO (KFGO) – An investigation is underway to determine whether a man intentionally drove his SUV into a concrete bridge pillar on I-29 in Fargo Tues. evening.
The 47-year-old man, identified as Jason Simeon, was wanted for sexual assault in Clay County, Minn.
Troopers spotted the vehicle on the interstate in south Fargo. Simeon accelerated and slammed into the pillar seconds after troopers activated their emergency lights.
A Glyndon police officer attempted to stop Simeon earlier, but did not pursue the man. Simeon has past convictions for sex-related crimes in Minnesota.
