WASHINGTON, DC (KFGO) – President-elect Joe Biden is expected to name former Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to that role in his administration, according to various sources in Washington.
Vilsack spent eight years as head of the USDA during the Obama administration and served two terms as Iowa governor.
Former North Dakota US Senator Heidi Heitkamp was also under consideration for ag. secretary.
