An “Adams Family” reboot is in the works.
Tim Burton will direct and executive produce the TV series and “Smallville” creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar will serve as head writers.
Several networks and streaming services including Netflix are currently bidding for the project.
“The Adams Family” first began as a comic strip in the New Yorker in the late 1930s and became a sitcom on ABC in the 1960s. It was then made into a movie in 1991.
