ROME, Sept 30 (Reuters) – Eni and Generative Bionics have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the industrial applications of humanoid robotics, the Italian energy group said in a statement on Wednesday.
Areas covered by the collaboration include identifying potential use cases for the humanoid robots developed by Generative Bionics in Eni’s industrial and operational environments, the company said.
• Generative Bionics is an Italian deep-tech company specialising in the development of humanoid robots powered by Physical AI
• The MoU aims to assess how Generative Bionics’ technologies can contribute to enhance Eni’s safety standards and operational efficiency
• Another area of collaboration will be on humanoid robot components and materials involving Eni’s chemicals unit Versalis
• The agreement includes options to industrialise and commercialise sensor-equipped footwear developed by Generative Bionics, leveraging Eni’s materials, expertise and market channels
