GRAND FORKS, N.D. & MARSHALL COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) – A lightning strike early this afternoon set an apartment garage on fire in Grand Forks.
Crews arrived at 1260 55th Avenue South to heavy smoke and flames.
They quickly got the fire out before it could extend past the firewalls.
Six garage units were affected. No tenants were displaced.
A storm destroyed the Sky-Vu Drive-In screen near Warren, Minnesota leading to the business being closed for the season.
Owners write on social media “We just can’t catch a break!” because the drive in screen was damaged by storms in May.
