Dr. Tim Mahoney
FARGO (KFGO-KVRR) – Former Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney has accepted the position of health officer for Fargo Cass Public Health.
He will replace Dr. Jessie Lindemann who left the position after a year.
Director of Public Health, Jenn Faul says there were several qualified candidates that were interviewed in July.
Dr. Mahoney will take over the position on September 1st and hold the office for a five year period.
He will be responsible for enforcing public health laws, regulations and ordinances for health issues in Fargo and Cass county.
Mahoney served as Fargo’s mayor from 2014 until June, when term limits prevented him from running for mayor again.
The Fargo City Commission will vote on his new role during today’s meeting
