Rendering of Hector International Airport expansion
FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Airport Authority Executive Director Shawn Dobberstein says improvement projects at Fargo Hector International Airport are going well and nearing completion.
Dobberstein says that when the remodel of the old terminal is complete next year, Hector International could see flights to more destinations out of Fargo.
“But for our airlines, we have a lot of congestion in the morning. We have five gates operational right now, we’ll have nine when the project’s completed, but for some of the carriers that want to additional service, whether it’s existing carriers or new. We just don’t have room for them in the morning. Well, this will solve that problem, and hopefully will lead to additional opportunities not only for the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo area, but the entire region.” Dobberstein said.
The parking ramp project at the airport is also nearing completion, Dobberstein says that all there is to complete is a skyway and a signage project to make navigating the area easier.
