NEW TOWN, N.D. (KFGO) — Crews are continuing to search for a hiker in Theodore Roosevelt National Park who has been missing since mid-July.
Artoun Gostantain, 37, was last seen July 19 in New Town. He is described as a white-middle eastern man, 5’7″ tall, weighing 178lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes and wears glasses.
Badlands Search and Rescue and National Park rangers have been searching for him in the park’s north unit. The North Dakota Highway Patrol deployed its tracking dogs early in the search, and Civil Air Patrol and North Dakota Army National Guard searched from the air.
Teams are now searching the park on foot and horseback for any sign of Gostantain. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Office.
