BATTLE LAKE, Minn. (KFGO) -The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says an 83 year old Illinois woman was rescued after going into Eagle Lake south of the city of Battle Lake.
The sheriff’s office received a 911 call yesterday evening around 8:30 when the woman dove into the lake, struggling to swim and was having a difficult time breathing.
Neighbors and friends were able to get the woman out of the water and to the shore. She was transported for non-life threatening injuries.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Ashby Ambulance.
