FARGO (KFGO) – Two Fargo residents were arrested Tuesday morning following a high-risk tactical drug raid at a south Fargo apartment building.
Members of the Cass County Drug Task Force, the Red River Valley SWAT Team and the Fargo Police Department executed a search warrant at approximately 6 a.m. in the 2600 block of 14th Street South.
Police arrested Deshun Jones, 50, on multiple outstanding warrants, including a probation violation for fourth-degree assault and a Clay County warrant for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle. Jones also faces new charges of Class C felony tampering with physical evidence, second-offense possession of methamphetamine and second-offense possession of drug paraphernalia.
A second suspect, 20-year-old Mya Paul, was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Police said additional charges against Paul are pending.
Because of the suspects’ criminal histories and the elevated risk of the operation, officers deployed a flash-sound diversion device during the entry. The device triggered the building’s fire alarm system.
Fargo police worked with the Fargo Fire Department to reset the alarms and ensure the building was safe once the scene was secured.
Authorities said the operation was resolved quickly and no injuries were reported. The investigation remains active.
