CASS LAKE, Minn. (KFGO) – A woman is dead after being pulled from the water at a lake east of Bemidji Monday.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of an unresponsive person being pulled from the water of Lake Andrusia just after 4 p.m.
A bystander and Leech Lake Tribal Police Officer pulled the woman from the water and began attempting life saving measures. The woman was later taken by ambulance to a hospital where she died.
The Sheriff’s Office says the woman was reportedly swimming when she became unresponsive. Her body was pulled from water near a popular beach.
