GRAND RAPIDS (KFGO/Learfield) – Two people are dead after a head-on crash in Itasca County Sunday afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol says two vehicles collided on Highway 169 just south of Grand Rapids, around 12:30 p.m.
The drivers, McKenna Christensen, 24, of Luck, Wisconsin, and Carole Wiss, 83, of Grand Rapids, both died at the scene.
Authorities say both women were wearing seat belts, and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor. The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
