The Winnipeg Goldeyes and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks turned a Sunday afternoon into a wild, 10-inning extra-base extravaganza that finally ended in a 13-10 victory for Winnipeg. The Goldeyes struck first and built a comfortable lead, highlighted by a Max Murphy home run in the fourth and a Jiandido Tromp blast in the fifth. Propelled by four-hit games from Tromp and Ramon Bramasco, Winnipeg looked securely in control with a 6-2 lead heading into the late frames.
However, the RedHawks refused to roll over at Newman Outdoor Field. After falling behind 10-6 in the ninth inning, Fargo-Moorhead mounted a spectacular, stadium-shaking rally. Colby Wilkerson launched a clutch three-run home run to close the gap, and Carlos Amaya followed it up with a solo shot of his own to tie the game at 10-10, sending the game to extra innings.
The magic faded quickly for the home crowd in the top of the 10th. Winnipeg immediately answered the bell as Noah Marcelo and Adam Hall singled, pulled off a double steal, and both came around to score on a Marcelo single and a Bramasco RBI knock. RedHawks shortstop Aidan Byrne gave the fans one last glimmer of hope with a triple in the bottom of the frame, but Goldeyes reliever Eli Saul slammed the door shut to stop the bleeding and secure the thrilling 13-10 win.
