BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KFGO/Learfield) – A southeast Minnesota police officer is accused of driving drunk in Bloomington. Police Chief Booker Hodges says Kenneth Gallion, 61, was pulled over by one of his officers early Thursday morning.
“Another police officer who was in full uniform. Duty belt, badge, gun, whole nine yards. Driving fast, crashed their car. Our officer notices this other officer smells of alcohol.” Hodges said.
Hodges says Gallion is a part-time Police Officer in Chatfield and his blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.
“So, Mister Kenneth Gallion, here, officer. Hopefully you can get the help you need. But do not come to my city three times the legal limit and crashing cars. That is completely unacceptable. This is not who we are as a profession.” Hodges said.
Officer Gallion was not driving a marked squad car. Hodges says Gallion was working an off-duty position about an hour before his arrest.
