BERTHA, Minn. – The name of a man killed in a two-vehicle crash south of Bertha last Thursday night has been released.
The state patrol says 26-year-old Blake Baumgartner of Hewitt was killed when his pickup and a car collided while heading north on Highway 71. Baumgartner was dead at the scene. Troopers say it is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the car, 20-year-old Johnathan Freyholtz of Hewitt, was taken to Astera Health for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The patrol was assisted by the Todd County Sheriff’s Office and Bertha Fire and Ambulance.
