Learn more at April 30 webinar; provide feedback by May 7
Anglers, hunters and trappers are invited to attend an informational webinar on Thursday, April 30 from noon-1 p.m., and share their thoughts with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources about the state’s annual hunting, trapping, and fishing regulations books.
During this webinar, DNR staff will share some background, respond to questions and listen to comments from the public about readability, ease of use, images in the books and other topics. An access link will be posted on the Minnesota DNR website (mndnr.gov/regulations) 15 minutes before the webinar.
“Please consider attending the webinar and sharing your feedback and experiences with the regulations books,” said Sarah Middleton, DNR wildlife rules and regulations coordinator. Your input will help improve them.”
The DNR produces regulations books each year for fishing and hunting and trapping. The regulations books consolidate complex legal requirements into a comprehensive format for public use.
People are also welcome to submit feedback through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 7 by any of the following means:
- Completing an online questionnaire on the DNR website (mndnr.gov/qr/rt-regs-book).
- Emailing Sarah.Middleton@state.mn.us.
- Mailing the DNR Section of Wildlife, 500 Lafayette Road, St. Paul, MN 55155.
Feedback received by May 7 will help inform additional 2026 engagement with anglers, hunters, and trappers on this improvement effort. Copies of the regulations books are on the Minnesota DNR fishing regulations webpage (mndnr.gov/regulations/fishing
