FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KBRF/KFGO) – A Fergus Falls man has been charged for possessing child pornography, some of which was generated by AI.
Court documents say the Fergus Falls Police Department received a tip from Internet Crimes Against Children in November of 2024, claiming Lesley Nielsen, 53, had been in possession of a sexual video involving an 11-year-old child.
A search warrant of Nielsen’s devices was conducted in May of 2025. The search revealed flags for multiple items of child sexual abuse material, including some items generated by AI.
Prosecutors say a detective sent images and videos that were flagged as CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for review and possible identification of victims. The detective received a report last week identifying over 60 files on Nielsen’s devices that contained images of real children from various locations.
