DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO) – The Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and a child in rural Detroit Lakes.
Deputies made the discovery Monday afternoon in Homesville Township after a man went to check on his brother who hadn’t shown up for work. The man found his brother dead from a gunshot wound. Deputies also found the body of the child.
The sheriff’s office says the deaths are considered isolated incidents and there’s no known threat to the public.
