WEST FARGO (KFGO) – Two people were arrested after running from police and hitting a squad car on Sunday night.
West Fargo Police tried to stop a vehicle just before 10 p.m. in the 600 block of 13th Avenue East for a traffic violation.
Police say the driver took off westbound and the officer chased the vehicle.
Officers put out spike strips at Main Avenue and 15th Street West, but the vehicle tried to flee again and hit a police squad car.
The two people in the vehicle tried to run from the scene. The passenger was quickly apprehended after a short foot chase.
The driver ran into a nearby industrial park. He was tracked and located with the help of a K9 and drone and taken into custody.
The driver, 35-year-old Steven Foster, was arrested for felony fleeing, reckless endangerment, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, and driving under suspension.
The passenger, 34-year-old Katie Haglund, was arrested for fleeing on foot, possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple outstanding warrants.
Police say neither of the suspects have a permanent address.
