Leo Dartoe (Cass County Jail)
FARGO (KFGO) — A Fargo jury has found a man guilty of murdering his childhood friend.
Leo Dartoe, 35, shot and killed Sampson Bleh in August 2024 at an apartment in the 2200 block of 12th Ave. S. in Fargo. Bleh was shot in the chest. He died at the hospital.
After the shooting, Dartoe fled the state, and was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia two months later. He was later extradited back to Fargo.
The trial began Tuesday. Friday, the jury deliberated for just over an hour before delivering the guilty verdict.
Dartoe faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. His sentencing has not been scheduled.
