FARGO (KFGO) – A man charged with a dozen felony counts related to a terrorizing incident in downtown Fargo has admitted to his crimes.
Peter Isensee, 35, was arrested on the morning of June 19, 2025 after police were called to the intersection of 1st Avenue and 10th Street South.
Several people said Isensee had a large military-style knife and damaged their vehicles by throwing rocks and other objects.
Police say Isensee ran out into the road in front of a car and threw a large knife at it. The knife became lodged in the windshield just a foot away from the driver’s head.
One witness told police Isensee threw a metal object that broke their windshield. Another witness said Isensee threw a bicycle in the street before throwing a knife at their car that damaged their windshield and sunroof.
Officers found Isensee about a block away and it took several officers to restrain him.
On Feb. 26, Isensee pleaded guilty to 12 felony counts, including several counts each of terrorizing, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
He was sentenced to serve two years in prison, followed by 18 months of supervised probation. Isensee will receive credit for 253 days already spent in jail.
Upon release, Isensee is ordered to undergo a chemical dependency and mental health evaluation within 90 days, completing all recommendations within 180 days.
