FARGO, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) — The Hawley, Minnesota man accused of running over and killing a bicyclist in downtown Fargo in March will serve no jail time.
Jeremy Jorgenson, 43, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless endangerment. In exchange for the guilty plea, the judge gave Jorgenson 360 days of probation and a $325 fine.
Jorgenson was initially charged with one count of duty in an accident involving death in the incident that killed 61-year-old Bernd Scholz of Fargo. Scholz was on his bicycle at the intersection of NP Avenue and 10th Street N. when he was hit.
Scholz was a nanoscience engineer at NDSU.
