FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – One person was hospitalized and part of a twin home is almost a total loss after a fire in southwest Fargo Saturday evening.
The Fargo Fire Department says they began receiving calls of a fire just after 10:00 P.M. at the 5100 block of 48th Avenue South.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy flames coming from the home. Strong winds caused the fire to spread quickly. The fire spread to another unit, and heat damaged the siding of another home.
One individual was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A dog was found inside and later died.
The residents of both homes were displaced. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
