Judge Nicholas Chase
WASHINGTON (KFGO) – The U.S. Senate has confirmed Nicholas Chase as North Dakota’s new U.S. Attorney. Earlier this year, Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer recommended President Trump nominate Chase to the position.
Chase was appointed by governor Doug Burgum to serve as a District Court Judge for the East Central Judicial District in Fargo.
Prior to that, he served 20 years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including as Acting U.S. Attorney and First Assistant. A North Dakota native, Chase has also worked in private practice and as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk.
