BAGLEY, Minn. (KFGO) – A man is in the Clearwater County jail on murder charges after an assault left a man dead.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy and Bagley Police officer responded to a home in Bagley around 12:50 a.m. Sunday on a report of a man not breathing. First responders tried saving 26-year-old Tray McCollum and took him to Sanford Bagley Medical Center, but he died at the hospital.
Medical staff told law enforcement McCollum had signs of head trauma. Investigators learned McCollum and another person were assaulted southwest of Bagley and driven to the home.
Law enforcement arrested 24-year-old Christyan Logan in Fosston and booked him on a 2nd degree murder charge.
The University of North Dakota Forensic Pathology Center in Grand Forks will do an autopsy. The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.
