Charges filed against man who fired a handgun outside his apartment

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO KBRF) – A man was arrested for recklessly firing a gun outside his apartment in Dent, Minnesota.

Otter Tail County prosecutors say Ethan Goodspeed, 33, shot multiple rounds from a revolver outside his apartment late Sunday night. That prompted neighbors to contact 911. Goodspeed initially denied having any knowledge of shots being fired, but later admitted to deputies that he had fired five or six rounds into the air because he had never shot the gun before.

Goodspeed is facing charges of recklessly discharging a firearm in a municipality and intentionally discharging a firearm that endangers safety.
