BISMARCK (KFGO) — A Bismarck man is seriously hurt after the Highway Patrol says he crashed his motorcycle while fleeing police.
The crash happened around 12:30 early Sunday morning on State Street.
A Burleigh County deputy tried to stop the motorcycle for driving without a license plate. The patrol says instead of stopping, the driver fled and hit a curb. The 28-year-old man was thrown from the bike. He was not wearing a helmet, and was brought to CHI St. Alexius hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Burleigh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating charges against the driver. The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
