WEST FARGO (KFGO) – West Fargo Police are warning of a scam where a caller is claiming to be a member of the department named Dan.
Police say residents are receiving calls asking for donations for local children in need, with instructions to provide payment or have an officer visit their residence to collect the donation.
Residents are encouraged to call the police department at a verified number if they receive any suspicious calls, voicemails or text messages from someone claiming to be an employee of the department.
