Flags in Minnesota to fly at half-staff to honor fallen firefighter

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO/WCCO) – Governor Walz is ordering all flags at all state buildings to be flown at half-staff in Minnesota Thursday to honor and remember a firefighter from west of the Twin Cities.  

Victoria firefighter Laura Zumbusch-Wood died in the line of duty July 27. She served the community for 16 years as a volunteer firefighter.  

Zumbusch-Wood also played a pivotal role in helping plan the City of Victoria’s new fire station.
