CROOKSTON, Minn. – A Crookston man is facing felony charges after after he was accused of selling drugs to a confidential informant on multiple occasions between March and this month.
According to court records, Crookston Police met with an informant who said they had been purchasing cocaine from Kane Rodriguez every week for the past few months. Police set up a sales meeting with Rodriguez and he was arrested.
Prosecutors say Rodriguez admitted to police that he had been selling small amounts of cocaine and hadn’t been doing it very long. He claimed that he did not sell cocaine to make money, only to help people in need, and most of the cocaine he purchased was for personal use.
Rodriguez is facing seven drug-related charges.
