ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Commerce is condemning the Federal Environmental Protection Agency’s attempt to terminate the $62 million Solar for All grant awarded to the state of Minnesota.
The agency says the move by the EPA would strip Minnesotans of the opportunity to save money on their energy bills and would cost the state clean energy jobs. The department says more than 11,000 Minnesota households would be affected if the state loses the grant.
The state is exploring legal action to try to stop the cuts from being made.
