WEST FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — West Fargo is beginning the process of studying who can operate short-term rental properties.
The new Short Term Rental Committee will hold its first meeting Monday at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall. While the meeting is public, there will be no public comment period.
The city is looking at passing an ordinance that would make primary residences the only ones eligible to be used as short-term rentals, leaving investment properties out of the equation.
Commissioners decided to start a committee to look into the issue including complaints about noise and parking.
Two commissioners on opposite sides of the issue and West Fargo Police will be on the committee.
