
HUNTER, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol has released the name of the man killed in a collision between a cement truck and a semi pulling a trailer loaded with potatoes northwest of Fargo Wednesday night.
Eric Comer, 34, of Fort Myers, Florida died at the scene of the crash. The patrol says he didn’t stop at a stop sign at the junction of Cass County Highways 18 and 26.
The driver of the semi, 78-year-old Lyle Fuglestad of Minto, North Dakota, was hospitalized in Fargo.
The trailer became detached, spilling potatoes in the ditch. Comer was not wearing a seatbelt.
Three fire departments responded along with Cass County Sheriff’s deputies, Hunter Ambulance Service and Sanford Ambulance.
