PIERRE, S.D. (KFGO) – A 16-year-old boy from Pierre died in a crash on U.S. Highway 83 a mile south of Agar Wednesday morning.
The Highway Patrol says the boy was driving a pickup north when he crossed the centerline. A southbound semi pulled over to the shoulder where the pickup hit the rear wheels of the semi and spun. A second southbound semi drove into the west ditch and collided with the pickup.
The boy died at the scene. The semi drivers were not hurt.
The crash is under investigation.
