Crews work at future site of Kwik Star at 2530 12th Avenue S. in Fargo
FARGO (KFGO) – Groundwork is underway at the site of what will be a Kwik Star convenience store at 25th Street and 12th Avenue S. in Fargo, the former Village Family Service Center location.
The LaCrosse, Wisconsin-based company says construction on the store itself is scheduled to begin on June 16 with completion in mid-November. Work on another store on Calico Drive S in Fargo is supposed to begin June 30.
Contractors hired by the company are also working on stores at two locations in Moorhead with another planned for Dilworth.
The North Dakota stores will be known as Kwik Star, while the Minnesota locations will be called Kwik Trip due to a naming conflict with another chain. Store construction is expected to take 110 days, depending on weather conditions.
The Fargo stores will be the first in North Dakota for the chain, founded in 1965. The family-owned corporation has about 900 locations, which include car washes.
