CROSBY, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services says a case of measles has been confirmed in Burke County, making it the fourth county in the state with a confirmed case.
The affected person traveled frequently to Williams County before the illness. Williams county was the first to report measles in the state, and the health department has confirmed community spread there.
Grand Forks and Cass Counties both have confirmed measles cases, but all cases involved people who were unvaccinated and traveled internationally.
The number of measles cases in the state has increased to 28 since May 2.
