ST. PAUL, Minn. – A St. Paul man is facing federal prison time for drunkenly brandishing a gun inside an apartment last July. The U-S Attorney’s Office says a federal jury found 47-year-old Noel Hall guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Prosecutors say Hall barricaded himself in the apartment and engaged in a multi-hour standoff with St. Paul police. He surrendered after a swat team deployed a drone in the building. Officers discovered a semiautomatic pistol and a loaded magazine concealed in a bed.
Hall cannot have a gun due to a previous felony drug conviction and was on supervised release when he committed the crime.
