FARGO (KFGO) – The principal of Fargo Davies High School is retiring from public education.
Troy Cody says he is pursuing a new challenge outside of public education.
Cody has been in education for over 30 years and principal at Davies High School for 13 years. He was named Fargo Public Schools Administrator of the Year in 2024. Cody says he’ll miss the students, families, staff, and community members most.
“I’ve had the joy of watching your children grow, achieve, overcome, and lead,” Cody said in an email to parents. “It’s been one of the greatest privileges of my life to help guide and support them during such formative years. Please know this: I am leaving with full confidence in the people who will continue to lead Davies High School moving forward. The foundation is strong, the culture is thriving, and the future is extremely bright. While my journey is taking a new turn, my belief in this school, its mission, and its people remains unshakable.”
Fargo Public Schools Chief Communications Officer AnnMarie Campbell says, “Mr. Cody’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping Davies into a beacon of academic excellence and innovation within our district.”
Davies High School opened in August 2011 under Principal Dr. Jeff Schatz. Cody became principal the following summer after Schatz was named Fargo Public Schools superintendent.
