Gerald Mays (Burleigh Morton Detention Center)
WEST FARGO (KFGO) – A Moorhead man, wanted in Bismarck on 34-year-old warrant, has been arrested in West Fargo.
Gerald Lynn Mays, 62, was in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop on April 17, officers identified a passenger with possible outstanding warrants. Upon further investigation, officers determined that one of the passengers had an extraditable felony warrant from 1991 in Burleigh County for gross sexual imposition of a minor.
Mays was arrested on the Burleigh County warrant and an additional outstanding warrant in Missouri for possession of marijuana.
Mays was extradited to Burleigh County and is in the Burleigh Morton Detention Center in Bismarck. No other citations were issued during the traffic stop.
