WEST FARGO (KFGO) – The Bobcat plant in Gwinner, North Dakota will shut down production over the Memorial Day Holiday.
The company says the scheduled downtime at certain North American factories is designed to align production with anticipated market projections.
Doosan Bobcat has its North American headquarters in West Fargo. In November of 2023, Bobcat confirmed plans that it was building a new manufacturing plant Monterrey, Mexico and said it would not result in the loss of jobs at the plants in Gwinner and Bismarck.
The estimated cost of the plant in Mexico is $300 million. It will provide 600 to 800 jobs and should begin production in 2026.
